there's now an easier way to watch YouTube on the move
GOOGLE has launched its new YouTube Go app, making it easier to download videos and watch them without an internet connection.

YouTube and its endless supply of addictive viewing can be a great time killer.
Unfortunately the times you most want it - such as while enduing a boring commute - you often struggle for internet access.
Don't worry though, as there's now an easier way to download YouTube videos and enjoy them on the move thanks to Google's new YouTube Go app.
Designed for those living in areas with poor Wi-Fi connectivity and limited data coverage, the Android app will let users enjoy videos without being hit by lofty bills or struggling with endless buffering.

Originally announced in late 2016 alongside an "early next year" release date at the Google for India event in New Delhi, the app has now hit its first market.
In a bid to save data and speed up the viewing process, the app offers users the option of watching videos immediately or viewing them offline at a later date.
Although making it easier to download videos for anytime viewing, there is a catch - image quality.
Fans of gorgeous 1080p Full HD footage - or even 720p HD videos - are set to be disappointed, with only low quality videos able to be downloaded.

To help decide which resolution is best for download, the app will tell you how much storage space is currently available on your phone, and how much each video will eat into this at different resolutions.
Letting you share the offline love, YouTube Go also lets users transfer download videos between devices over Bluetooth.

Like Facebook Lite and other similar apps, YouTube Go has been designed with developing markets, where internet is often slow and unreliable.
As such, it's currently only available in the Indian Google Play Store, although a wider rollout is expected in the near future.
For those who simply can't wait, the installer can already be found at APK Mirror for those who want to add the app manually
